Summary

Pete Weber – TrackMan University Master

Pete Weber is an assistant golf professional at Cress Creek Country Club in Naperville, Illinois.  Since starting at the club in 2008, Pete has worked with a variety of students ranging everywhere from professionals to beginners.

Born and raised in Peosta, Iowa, Pete started playing the game almost as soon as he could walk.  Coming from a family of golfers, Pete learned the game while playing at Thunder Hills Country Club.  Early on in his golfing career, Pete was fascinated with improvement and learning more about how the golf swing worked.  This naturally led to him constantly working on improving all aspects of his game.

After his high school career, which included multiple team Conference Championships at Western Dubuque High School (and one individual Conference Championship), Pete enlisted in the United States Marine Corps to better himself and see the world.  During his time in the Marines, Pete continued to work on his game in his off-duty hours, and won many military events to include winning the 2000 All Marine Golf Championship.

After completing his service, Pete enrolled at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.  During his career at Loras, Pete earned 3 All Conference Awards, 2 All American Awards, A Team Conference Championship, An Individual Conference Championship and was named the 2005 Division III Jack Nicklaus Award Recipient for National Player of the Year.

That same year, Pete finished 4th as an individual at the NCAA Championships.  After completing his collegiate eligibility, Pete turned professional and played various mini-tours for 2 1/2 years.  Following his playing career, Pete entered the club professional ranks and quickly established himself as someone to reach out to when help was needed.

Following the 2010 season, Pete left Cress Creek to venture over to Tokyo, Japan to help establish Cool Clubs Japan.  Cool Clubs is a high-end custom clubfitting company based in Scottsdale, AZ.  During his time with Cool Clubs, Pete became very familiar and effective using TrackMan Golf's doppler radar technology to fit golf clubs, but to also help improve player's games.

After a year in Tokyo, Pete returned to Cress Creek in 2012 to his previous position as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional.  In early 2013, Pete added TrackMan's technology to his arsenal of game analysis capabilities.

Throughout all of this time, Pete has continued to push himself to learn everything he can about the game of golf, as well as how people learn.   This has been done in an effort to help ensure that his students reach their goals in ways that treat them as a person, and are as individual as they are.

“TrackMan has allowed me to validate what I believe in the golf swing, as well as properly eliminate some of the notions I had in the past that didn’t stand up to pressure. It has also allowed me to become more efficient in my diagnosis.   If I don’t see the numbers improve with a certain feel, or they don’t stay changed for the better, I can see quickly that the issue at hand may need to be addressed in a different manner. Combine that ability with the ease of communication with my students MyTrackMan.com, I’m able to allow my students to walk away from our lesson with the right feel and a clear understanding of what we worked on and how to continue to work on it. There is so much more to this product than just the numbers.”
