MASTER THESIS

Liam Mucklow – TrackMan University Master

Liam joined the PGA of Canada in 2001, one year prior to graduating from the University of Alberta in 2002 with a Bachelor's of Physical Education. At University Liam was on the varsity golf team, an All Star volleyball player and a medalist in badminton.

After spending nearly a decade with the World Long Drive Tour, California Mini Tours and various Professional Tours in Asia, Liam founded The Golf Lab in 2009.  It is a 26,000 square foot indoor facility open to the public.  It was the first time that a public facility had fully integrated all aspects golfer performance.  It encompasses onsite coaching, physical, and medical and equipment services and it has solidified its reputation as Canada’s Premier Game Improvement Center.

TrackMan has played a vital role in establishing, and continuing to build The Golf Lab’s reputation as Canada’s leader in golfer performance.  Liam first began teaching with Trackman on a daily basis in 2008. 

When Liam founded The Golf Lab in 2009 it was the first time that a facility had afforded golfers the opportunity to practice themselves on a TrackMan Radar. They now have six radar’s in use on a daily basis for Teaching, Coaching, and Club Fitting.

As part of his Master application, Liam submitted IMPCaTT Research Study - A Technology Based Learning model for self-guided instruction
