Summary
After sharpening his skills at Gleddoch Golf & Country Club, George turned professional in 1997 and finished that year with his first Tartan Tour top-10 in the Edinburgh Crystal Scottish PGA championship at Turnberry.
During his professional golf career George has equalled a course record, won a professional golf tournament, finished as top Scottish player in the British PGA assistants’ championship, as well as various top-10 finishes in Tartan Tour events.
In 2001, George graduated as a PGA professional with 100% in his swing theory project. AchievementsWorked closely for eight years with the late Adam Hunter, learning the Adam Hunter performance golf philosophy. As his coaching career has blossomed, George has been fortunate to have spent time with some of the playing and coaching greats, like Pete Cowan, David Leadbetter, Butch Harmon and Padraig Harrington.
During the last three years George has coached the Scottish Boys OOM merit winner, Scottish Boys Strokeplay champion, Scottish Girls champion, Scottish Girls Champion of Champion, Scottish Boy’s Champion of Champion and Scottish Under 14s champion, as well as guiding many other players to their first national caps at Scottish boys and GB&I level, girls and senior levels.
This wealth of experience allows George to communicate his ideas and concepts in an imaginative and fun manner, which is to the benefit of George’s clients who range from complete beginner to Scottish internationalists.
