Certification 

When starting the certification process at TrackMan University it is important that our members are aware that there are no short cuts in acquiring the knowledge needed to pass any of the certification tests. We therefore recommend that members submits the Free Trial Test to benchmark their skills. Then look thoroughly at the curriculum and use the learning tools for study. Enjoy the learning.

All certification tests are completed on-line and require membership before taking the tests (except the Free Trial Test).

Being a TrackMan Certified Operator or TrackMan Certified Professional will give industry professionals a unique competitive advantage and they will be granted the following benefits:

  • Access to all certification tests (Operator, Level 1 and Level 2)
  • Access to apply for the TrackMan University Master degree (Passed Level 2 test required)

Certification Programs
 



The TrackMan Certified Operator program is recommended for experienced TrackMan owners and users. The curriculum is similar to the TrackMan Certified Professional: Level 1 program but it is more comprehensive and requires an in-depth practical and hands-on experience with TrackMan hardware and software. Students therefore need to be a TrackMan owner or an experienced user to pass this certification test.

When passing the TrackMan Operator certification test the student will receive a personal TrackMan Operator certificate and will be granted access to submit the TrackMan Certified Professional: Level 2 test.

The curriculum of the full day on-site training when buying a TrackMan usually covers the above mentioned curriculum.


The TrackMan Certified Professional: Level 1 program is the path we recommend for instructors, fitters, coaches and players. The curriculum is almost similar to the TrackMan Certified Operator program but less comprehensive.

The TrackMan Certified Professional: Level 2 program requires the passing of the TrackMan Certified Operator test or TrackMan Certified Professional: Level 1 test and it is the path we recommend for instructors, fitters, coaches and players who want an in-depth understanding of the TrackMan technology, the measured data parameters (swing and ball flight analysis) and the underlying theory about the ball flight laws.

TrackMan Master Status is reserved for TrackMan University (TMU) members who demonstrate an expert knowledge of the TrackMan data and information. A TrackMan Master must be able to contribute ideas and information to the TrackMan community. In order to qualify for the TrackMan Master designation, the member must complete the following items:

  • Pass the Level I Test
  • Pass the Level II Test
  • Pass the Operator Test
  • Collect 15 TrackMan Credits (TMCs)
  • Create 5 questions and their answers for either the Operator, Level I, or Level II test 

Upon completion of the above tasks, the TMU member's application for Master status will be reviewed. Final approval of Master status is at the sole discretion of TrackMan University.

If submitting a thesis (video or article) a member can pre-qualify for Master status in the following two years.

Continuous Education Policy

The education of certificate holders are paramount to the quality of the TrackMan brand. Certificate holders are annually required to re-submit a test at their current level or to pass the test of a higher certification level.

 


Annual Guidelines

In order to ensure the standards of excellence annual guidelines have to be met once you are a TrackMan Certified Operator or TrackMan Certified Professional. These guidelines are detailed below.

1. A TrackMan Certificate is valid for one year after successfully completing the test. Certificate holders are required to participate in the TrackMan University re-certification program each year and pay an annual membership fee to maintain active. The re-certification test will be activated one month before the expiration date.

2. TrackMan Certified Operators can choose to re-submit a TrackMan Operator test or submit a Level 2 test.
Level 1 TrackMan Certified Professionals can choose to re-submit a Level 1 test or submit a Level 2 test.
Level 2 TrackMan Certified Professionals can choose to re-submit a Level 2 test or submit a Master Application.
Level 3 TrackMan Certified Masters are required to pass the Operator, Level 1 and Level 2 re-certification tests and obtain 15 credits each year.

Masters are required to create 5 questions and their answers for either the Operator, Level I, or Level II test.

If submitting a thesis (video or article) a member can pre-qualify for Master status in the following two years.

3. If failing the same test twice the student will receive 1 month quarantine before being able to submit a test again.

4. Certificate holders may be inactive for as long as 3 months without penalty. If a student is inactive for more than 3 months the certificate will expire and the student will be asked to remove the TrackMan logo on all print and electronic media. The certification level of the student will also be removed from the Find an Expert map.
